The UCSF Center for Clinical Informatics and Improvement Research (CLIIR) conducts novel studies examining how to leverage EHRs and other digital tools to improve clinical performance and healthcare value, and to scale these results to promote healthcare transformation.
We use novel sources of data, such as EHR audit logs, to advance research and provide leadership on policy- and practice-focused topics. We collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to advance insights about the adoption and use of health informatics tools and how they impact care access, safety, efficiency, quality and patient/provider experience.
